Scrapbook ideas for a friend in the Military…?

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

OK… I have fallen completely in love with a friend of mine in the military. We were introduced by a mutual friend, but have never actually met. He is currently serving his second tour of duty in Iraq. We talk and email as often as he is able. And our relationship has really gotten serious in the last couple of months. I have every belief in the world that this man is my prince charming. I have bought books and done some extensive research to make sure that this "military life" would be something that I could handle. And I have put my heart into it! So…. I thought that I would throw myself into a hobby to pass the time. I love scrapbooking… So, I decided to start a scrapbook for him to share when he returns. I have downloaded and printed all the pictures I have from him and even printed some of the sweet emails that he has written me and some pictures of me to include in his present. But I was wondering if there was any other ideas for things to include….

You need to know what group he is in for instance if he is navy then what ship he is on. If he is army what battalion I guess is the word. If you look on the military web site you can pull up interesting info for that particular group. Like my husband was on the USS John F Kennedy and I pulled all kinds of interesting facts. How tall it is, how many people it holds and they should have photos too. Also have him send you money from the places he has been and old uniforms so you can put pieces in his scrapbook. You can also get pictures of friends and family and name that page Family and Friends awaiting your return home so he can see all the people who supported him. The list goes on and on.

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

I'm making an Australian project for school. But I can't make it interesting. Here are the pages I need to make. Sports page-surfing,food-not sure what yet,cars-Mitsubishi Triton,2 celebrities-Rick Springfield and ?,music page-waltzing matilda, school page, information page. Any ideas for any would be alot of help. Thanks a million,

hi there. Im from Australia. I think A steve Irwin Page would be great. Our Main sports over here, Rugby league, Motor racing – v8 Supercars, Cricket.
Foods would be Pavlova, Meat pies, Lamingtons, Vegemite – try google images for these if you cant find any embellishments in the shops. then you can either print them out to use, or make your own embellishments (Which I have done myself).
The main brand of car we have over here is Holden and Ford. We also are the land of the work Ute…lol!
Try checking out a few web sites for your information page.. like a tourist site…
here is one I just found for you.
