could you give me some wedding scrapbook ideas?

Monday, May 11th, 2009

I am making a scrapbook for my mom of her wedding for christmas could you please post some of your wedding scrapbook layout pictures please

Check out “Once upon a family” …it’s a website that actually sells scrapbooks for this sort of thing, where it prompts you to include details and keepsakes from special occasions. They are really beautiful-and they might help.

Otherwise, if you still want to do it on your own, buy some really beautiful wedding themed paper and little add ons, and include pages for the getting ready, waiting, guests arriving, ceremony, getaway, arrival at the reception, the reception (and all the details in there!), and perhaps include poems about love written by hand, winding throughout the photos, so there is a link that binds-you could even use their original vows instead, or lyrics of their wedding song…

Any ideas for a gift scrapbook theme?

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

Several years ago, I made my parents an ABC scrapbook. I did a page for every letter of the alphabet, with pictures of my kids and the other grandkids, and even old pics of our family. It was the best thing I’ve ever done, artistically. (And it was the only scrapbook I’ve ever done.)

Now I’d like to make them another scrapbook, but I can’t think of a theme. ABC was easy — got any other ideas that a creatively-handicapped person like myself could do?

What about doing a “then/now” theme? Or do one about their careers/hobbies. Include pictures of them in uniforms or in front of places they worked. Look up how much things cost before they got married and the prices of the same items now: a loaf of bread, a new car, a house, a gallon of milk… Get pictures of their homes before and pics now to see any changes.
Try to find billboard ads/commercials and jingles. You might be surprised to hear them singing some of them.
